A new restaurant and bar concept called Cavo’s Bar & Kitchen is coming to Thornton Park, taking the place of the short-lived Felipe Rodriguez Tequila House. Brothers Mark and John Cavallini, who previously helped manage Anthony’s of Thornton Park with their best friend and Anthony’s owner Johnny Markaj, said they are excited to be part of the Thornton Park family again.

They describe Cavo’s as a fun, casual sports bar with solid cocktails and Northeast (Philly and New York City) influenced cuisine. The Cavallinis also worked at Burton’s Bar from 2009 to 2011, so they know the Thornton Park neighborhood well.

The location at 900 E Washington St. is where Graffiti Junktion got its original start before later spreading to 13 locations. Details are still coming, but Cavo’s hope to open by mid-November.
