On Sunday, March 31, the Lake Eola Heights Historic Neighborhood Association will present the ninth-biennial tour of The Private Gardens of Historic Orlando Featuring Lake Eola Heights. This year’s event will build on what has become a very popular feature on Orlando’s calendar of gardening events.
Guests will have the chance to experience the charming, hidden places found within the neighborhood. This is an opportunity to witness some truly unique and enchanting garden spaces in the neighborhood and actually speak with those who are responsible for their creations.
Plein air artists will be painting in the gardens to enhance the experience. Plant vendors will be set up at Garden Central to allow guests to purchase plants for their own gardens. Complimentary GEM Cars will be available on the day of the tour to drive our visitors.
The self-guided tour begins at noon and ends at 5:00 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 on the day of the tour. Advance tickets can be picked up at the Broadway United Methodist Church office, also known as Garden Central, at the intersection of East Amelia Street and Broadway Avenue.
Tickets can also be purchased online at lehhna.com. Proceeds will go to the Lake Eola Heights Historic District and benefit Orange Preservation Trust. Hope to see you there!
