Lake Highland’s Math Counts team competed over their winter break and came in second place overall. One student came in second place individually at the chapter competition. The school was the top-finishing private school in the region and they are now advancing to state competition.

Lake Highland Prep’s boys varsity soccer team celebrated a historic state championship win on February 21. The 2019 Class 2A FHSAA State Championship winning team was led by head coach former professional soccer player Jeremy Christie who competed in the 2010 FIFA World Cup representing his home country of New Zealand. The Highlanders defeated Miami LaSalle following 80 minutes of regulation play and double overtime, winning 6-5 in penalty kicks.
