Fab Fringe featuring El Wiz

March 4 at 6:30 p.m.

The award-winning hit of the 27th Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival, “El Wiz,” hits The Abbey as a celebration of Orlando Fringe’s 28th year running. This is a version of the Wizard of Oz set in Puerto Rico, where it’s survived a hurricane. Dorothy’s journey with friends will be filled with a celebration of Latin heritage, hope, and heart.

Parking at The Abbey is available for $8. Ticket prices vary and are available for purchase on orlandofringe.org along with other event information.

Girls’ Night Out: Make a Living Succulent Picture Frame Workshop

March 7 at 7 p.m.

Head on out to East End Market and create your own living frame using a variety of locally grown succulents. You’ll learn how to design, plant and care for your creation with FarmGal Flowers. In Between Series: Karl Berger Improvisors Orchestra

March 20 at 6:30 p.m.

This presentation from the Downtown Arts District and Timucua Arts Foundation includes a documentary screening and an orchestra performance, featuring Ingrid Sertso, Billy Martin and the UCF New Music Ensemble. The project highlights local musicians to create an improvised performance. Entrance is $5 and more information can be found on eventbrite.com

Lake Lawsona/Fern Creek Neighborhood Watch Meeting

March 7 at 6:30 p.m.

A representative from OPD will be educating residents on the Neighborhood Watch and Dog Walkers programs. The meeting will be held at the Langford Park Community Center at 1808 E. Central Blvd. For more information contact Anne DiCiero at 407-276- 2921.

 

 

American Lung Association’s Fight for Air Climb

March 23 at 8 a.m.

This event raises funds for those impacted by lung disease. Participants will run up 512 steps at the Bank of America Center in downtown Orlando. Registration is open on action.lung.org and open to solo runners, companies or other groups.

United We Brunch 2019

March 23 at 12 p.m.

The Orchid Garden will be home once again to the ultimate brunch party. Over 25 restaurants will be serving up an afternoon of brunch bites and there will be complementary drinks for you to enjoy. Ticket prices are varied with more information available on the website, orlandoweeklytickets.com

Salsa y SazÓn 2019

March 24 at 12 p.m.

Univision Orlando and 98.1 Salsa y Más are hosting the 5th Annual Latin Food and Music Festival at the Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts. You will be able to enjoy Latin food, crafts and live music. Head over to drphillipscenter.org for ticket pricing and event information.

Orlando Flea

March 31 at 12 p.m.

Shop until you drop at Orlando Flea, Orlando’s large-scale shopping event featuring local vendors at Celine. Last year, nearly 1000 people attended. 40 local vendors offer a variety of handmade items to purchase and enjoy. For more information, head over to thedailycity.com
