Best Buddies Friendship Walk 2019

May 4 at 8 a.m.

Help raise awareness and support inclusion of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities at the Best Buddies Friendship Walk at Lake Eola. Let’s Crochet Bunnies – Beginner Level

May 8 at 5:30 p.m.

If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to crochet, now’s your chance. The Orlando Public Library is hosting an all-ages event where you can crochet or knit items and learn at whatever level you’re at – beginner or intermediate. For more information, go to attend.ocls.info.

Monster Jam World Finals 2019

May 10-11 at 7 p.m.

 

 

Orlando will be the first host city in the new schedule for Monster Jam World Finals. This event at Camping World Stadium will feature all-new competition formats, including a starting line that will be above the seats and seven championship crownings. For ticket pricings, visit ticketmaster.com.

3rd Taste of Soul – Soul Food Festival

May 11 at 11 a.m.

Enjoy the sights, tastes, and sounds of African American culture as well as other diverse cultures of Soul Food Cooking at Orlando Festival Park. Taste of Soul will feature vendors and family activities with lots of music at this family friendly event. You can learn how to dance the classic Soul Train line or play games. Walk to Cure Arthritis

May 11 at 8 a.m.

This 1-mile walk at Lake Eola will support those with arthritis and raise funds for research to work toward a cure. There will be a kid’s zone, food, and drinks. If you want to learn more information, you can go to events. arthritis.org.

Orlando Book Festival .

May 18 at 10 a.m.

The Orlando Public Library is holding this day-long celebration with panels, writing workshops, book signings, and more with authors from all over the country. For more information, head over to ocls.info/obf.

Orlando Carnival Downtown 2019

May 26 at 12 p.m.

This family friendly festival celebrates the Caribbean culture and features live music, arts and crafts vendors, and more all at Camping World Stadium. This will be the 32nd annual Carnival with ticket packages available at orlandocarnivaldowntown.com along with other information for any free events offered.

Make ‘M Smile

June 1 at 7:30 a.m.

Hosted by the organization Nathaniel’s Hope, this event celebrates kids with special needs of all ages. There will be entertainment, food, face painting, singing performances, and more.
