42nd Annual Fireworks at the Fountain

July 4 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Celebrate a day of independence with Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and your fellow Orlando residents at Lake Eola Park. The event will include a kids’ play area, live music, food and beverages for purchase and a special, designated military-appreciation area with a custom, covered fireworks viewing area. Visitors are encouraged to use alternative methods of transportation to attend the event, including walking, cycling, ride-share services and carpooling.

Beginning Tool Smithing

July 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

In this series of courses, Earth Horse Institute Founder and Director Scott Dantzler will teach students how to make the tools a blacksmith needs to make other tools and items. Following the traditions of apprenticeship, students will learn to make tongs, hammers, chisels, punches and drifts required to start their pursuit of blacksmithing.

Learn from a Master Bladesmith, greenwood craftsman and earth builder. Earth Horse Institute is dedicated to the promotion of earth skills and traditional craftsmanship. Full STEAM Ahead Camp

July 15-July 19 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Is your child interested in the world of art or science? Leu Gardens and Super Awesome Cool Pottery are combining the best of both worlds by creating a science- and art-based summer camp all in one. In the morning, campers will learn about the many wonders of the plant and animal world with games, hikes, experiments and take-home projects. In the afternoon, they’ll express themselves with projects that illustrate the morning’s events.
