South Eola welcomes new businesses, park, housing

The South Eola Neighborhood Association recently held its fourth-quarter meeting, sharing all things South Eola in 2019 and setting 2020 goals.

The newly expanded and updated dog park at Constitution Green was a highlight of the year for our neighborhood, and we’re glad to see residents from all over to come enjoy it. Unfortunately, the Main Street event to raise money for additional equipment has been cancelled, and we will keep our residents posted as we learn more about a potential reschedule.

With multiple new businesses, amazing events at Lake Eola and the thousands of visitors these things bring to South Eola, there is always something fresh and exciting in the neighborhood. The new olive townhomes and Camden Lake Eola are both moving along steadily, bringing new residents to South Eola in 2020.

We’ve created a social committee to plan events for residents as well as fundraising for a neighborhood sign, and we’re still working with the city on some great ideas to bring South Eola artwork to the neighborhood.

We wish a happy holiday season to all, and we are looking forward to the Lake Eola tree lighting coming up on Dec. 6. Anyone in the neighborhood who would like to get involved, reach out to us at info@southeola.org.
