Shampooch 2019

It’s almost time for the annual fundraiser, Shampooch 2019. Bring ‘em dirty — we’ve got this. This fundraiser was originated by the Lambs Eat Ivy Salon team and benefits the Poodle and Pooch Rescue of Florida, as they have such a passion for our four-legged, furry friends. Fast forward 12 years later, and thousands of dogs have been washed for this great cause.

The 12th-annual Thornton Park Dog Wash Block Party on Sept. 29 is a Sunday fun day for the dogs. The event goes from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. and will be held at 804 E Washington St. The Thornton Park District and the Downtown Development Board are proud sponsors of this event. There will be live music, food trucks, vendors, a dunk tank, photo booth, dog washing (of course), dog manicures, a kid zone, an apple watch raffle and much more.

EO Inn is under new management and working hard on creating a unique boutique-hotel experience in Downtown Orlando and the heart of the Thornton Park District.

“The EO INN offers a uniquely different perspective of Orlando,” said Jennifer McCauley, marketing director of EO Inn. “We are committed to the community and using local vendors.”

EO INN will continue its legacy while adding some fresh and exciting improvements. One of those improvements is a rooftop bar for its patrons. We are very excited to add that they are using local artist Lemon Press (Anna Cruz) for all their interior Murals.
