On September 10, 2012, Thornton Park District (TPD) was officially voted in to the Orlando Main Street Program by City Council.
It takes a lot of work to run a successful Orlando Main Street District and TPD has been able to do so with some of the best volunteers, business owners, residents and team leaders in the City of Orlando!
From our award-winning Thornton 2nd Thursday Wine Walk, assisting our businesses with signage and sidewalk cafe permits, matching facade grants, 4-way stop signs in the neighborhood, storm drain, utility box art and the Thornton Central Garage Mural Project, we work closely with our business owners and residents to ensure that TPD is one of the most inviting districts in Downtown Orlando.
To clarify the boundaries of TPD as established by City Council, please see the map below.
If any business or resident has any questions or would like to get involved, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. For more information on the Main Street program please visit cityoforlando.net/business-development/main-street-market-street/
